Introducing Yourself at Work
Think about the first time you start a new job, attend a professional event, or meet a colleague from another department. Before anything else happens, you have to do one thing: introduce yourself. In English, those first few sentences, the words you choose to describe who you are and what you do, shape the impression you leave from the very beginning.
In this activity, you will take part in a short role play in which you introduce yourself in a professional context. You will prepare key information about yourself and your role, and practise phrases for greeting someone, giving your name, explaining your job and department, and describing your daily routine at work.
By the end of this activity, you will be able to introduce yourself clearly and naturally in a professional or workplace context using simple, accurate phrases at A2 level.
